Frequently Asked Questions
1
Where are you located?
I am located in downtown Salisbury, Maryland.
My building is located between the Metropolitan Building and the City Center.
You will receive a directional text with pictures the day of your appointment to help you feel confident in finding my office.

*Parking info*
There is a free option and a paid option. For the meters downtown, you can pay with quarters or (and my personal favorite) you can download the Flowbird app. The app makes it so much easier to adjust time and not have to worry about bringing quarters.
2
Can I pay with cash, card or check?
Yes, yes and yes.
I also accept Apple Pay and HSA.
I do not discriminate. Whatever is easiest for you, works for me.

What is Cupping and how does it help me?
Cupping is a form of massage therapy which decompresses soft tissues using vacuum suction, unlike other forms of massage that compresses soft tissues. During cupping, the cup lifts your skin and underlying soft tissue into the cup.

Cupping helps to increase blood and lymph flow which is inhibited when your muscles are tight. Almost anyone can benefit from cupping; lack of mobility, tightness, scars, headaches, tendinitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis, trigger points, etc.
I also want to note who cupping does not benefit. If you have a liver or kidney disorder, blood clotting disorder, are at risk of heart attack or stroke, it’s best to avoid cupping. I also will not provide cupping if you are currently dealing with an infection. In the above cases, I can usually safely provide massage without cupping!

What can I expect during my first massage?
We will go over your Initial Intake Form and any questions you may have. We may do some preliminary assessments to gauge where we are starting from and to figure out where your pain and discomfort is coming from.
I always say the first massage is like a scouting mission. I am assessing what is going on with your muscles and creating a plan to help you get out of pain.

What should I do during my massage session?
RELAX!
BREATHE!
In all seriousness, this is your time to let someone care for you. Even if you like deep tissue work, you need to relax. Gone are the days of gritting and bearing it. That does no good for you, and that inhibits real change to happen.

Please communicate with me, your therapist, during your session: do you need more or less pressure; is the table too warm; are you feeling sensitive in a certain area; are you feeling a tingling or numbing sensation, etc. The more feedback the better I am to cater to your needs and make the greatest change.
